Setup 01 – Welcome to Kardango

Purpose

This introduction explains how the Kardango setup and training are organized. Kardango connects dialogue, dubbing, multilingual production, mixing, music, and sound effects in one REAPER-based workflow.

Before you begin

• Plan to follow the setup films for your operating system.
• Use the macOS or Windows version whenever separate films are provided.
• Complete the supplied demo before beginning a project of your own.
• Follow the main training series from Film 00 through Film 12 in order.

Key actions

1. Download the required Kardango and REAPER-related files.
2. Install REAPER, SWS, ReaPack, and Kardango by following the setup sequence.
3. Load the Kardango Actions in REAPER.
4. Begin the main training series with Film 00, which opens and connects the supplied demo project.
5. Work through the complete demo alongside Films 00–12.
6. Perform each demonstrated step in REAPER before continuing.
7. Save your progress so you can return to the same demo project later.

Why the complete demo matters

Some Kardango tools prepare information that later tools depend on. Following the full sequence reveals those connections and reduces the risk of overlooking important functions. The workflow can feel lengthy while every step is being learned, but once the process and source material are prepared, the script workflow can be completed in about 20 minutes.

Expected result

You understand the complete learning path and are ready to begin the installation for your computer. After completing the demo, you can apply the workflow to your own projects and use only the modules relevant to that work.

Common problems

• Starting with your own project too early: Complete the demo first. It provides known material and demonstrates how the tools depend on one another.
• A result differs from the film: Pause and check the current step before continuing.
• The pace feels too fast: Take the training in shorter sessions and compare your result with the video after each step.
• More detail is needed: Use the guide button in the top-right corner of the relevant video.
