Setup Guide & Troubleshooting
Purpose
ReaImGui provides interface features used by some Kardango tools. It is installed from inside REAPER through ReaPack. The procedure is the same on macOS and Windows, although some menus and operating-system details may look slightly different.
Before you begin
- Install and start REAPER.
- Make sure ReaPack is installed and working.
- If ReaPack is missing, complete Setup 07 on macOS or Setup 08 on Windows.
- Keep the computer connected to the internet while ReaPack synchronizes and downloads the extension.
Steps and key actions
- Start REAPER and wait for its main window to open.
- Choose Extensions > ReaPack > Synchronize packages.
- Wait until synchronization has finished.
- Choose Extensions > ReaPack > Browse packages.
- Enter
ReaImGuiin the filter field. - Locate ReaImGui: ReaScript binding for Dear ImGui in the default ReaTeam Extensions repository.
- Check its status. If it is already installed, do not install it again.
- If it is not installed, select the entry and click Apply.
- Wait for the installation report. A successful result reports one installed package and zero errors.
- Close the package browser, quit REAPER completely, and start REAPER again. Extensions are loaded when REAPER starts.
- Open Browse packages again, search for
ReaImGui, and confirm that the entry is marked as installed.
ReaImGui is an extension. It is not a Kardango Action and should not be loaded manually in REAPER’s Action List.
Expected result
The ReaImGui entry in ReaPack’s package browser is marked as installed after REAPER has been restarted. Kardango tools that depend on its interface features can then use it.
Common problems
ReaPack is not available under Extensions
Complete Setup 07 on macOS or Setup 08 on Windows, then restart REAPER before trying again.
ReaImGui does not appear in the search results
Run Synchronize packages again. Then confirm that you are searching for ReaImGui and that the ReaTeam Extensions repository is available.
Synchronization or installation fails
Confirm that the computer has internet access, synchronize the package list again, and repeat the installation.
The extension was installed but Kardango still cannot use it
Quit REAPER completely and reopen it. REAPER loads extensions during startup.
